In affiliate marketing you are affiliated with a company and you work for them but you won’t necessarily have a contract with the company. As an affiliate you will work for the company by bringing customers to them and earning money for this. It is kind of like earning commissions for sales and for referrals depending upon the company you have chosen to work for. When you sign up for a company’s affiliate program, they provide you with a link (designated only for you). When visitors of your site click on these links they are directed to your merchant’s site and now this makes you eligible for earning that “commission” this commission can even be up to 75% of the cost of the items purchased.
So, basically your job as affiliate marketer is to get web surfers (the traffic to your site) to visit your merchant’s site.
This type of advertising for companies is so much cheaper for the merchant that there are literally thousands of companies that have an affiliate program.

I personally enjoy affiliate marketing. I have had several successes through http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/?a_aid=XQ67lStL . If you need further advice everyone here is very helpful. Everybody takes time to help another, even the owners (who are personally millionaires), you can actually get others opinions on sites you create, and you can get one on one assistance from the top dogs in this industry.

We are all in it together. There is enough business out there on the internet that everyone roots the next person on to succeed and gives tips and ideas to guide you in the right direction.

I really hope this helps. Good luck in the future, in your ventures, and in your success.
